You know, those kind of spontaneous memories that sometimes just come out of nowhere?
The other day I had one of those memories and realized that sometimes our smallest gestures and actions can have a great impact on someone's life- and we may never know it.
It was sometime around Christmas, when I recieved a gift that would change my life- Black Beauty. That book opened up the world to me- and it impacted the person I am today. It sparked a love of reading in me that has never died. It is because of that love, that I never wonder anything, If I have a question, I read until I am satisfied. From gourmet cooking to the photography that puts food on my table, and now even farming, the life experiences I have had are a result of exploration through reading.
That one gesture has made my life rich in so many ways, and It has me thinking about all of the things I could be doing for others. Don't underestimate the impact you can have on the world, one person truly can make a difference. A simple gesture, gift, a favor or even just a smile, can have a ripple effect that goes far beyond your own reaches.
"Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing."
