Watching Empress tonight, catching a fireflies made me so happy. Watching her run through the grass, smiling at the little glowing dots in the sky, and speaking to them as if they will follow her orders to "Wait" and "come here".
Our back yard has been one of the things I have grown to love most about Kernersville. The Beautiful brook, with It's giant Boulders and trickling waterways have joined with birdsong, to make some of the most tranquil mornings I can imagine.
Being in Nature, to me equates being in church- the birds are my choir and the trees provide me a comfort and security that fills me up inside. Whenever life is too much for me, I can always go to nature and all is right once again. I often find myself lying in the brook, on it's smooth cool rocks, looking up at the canopy of leaves as they wave and the sunlight dapples through glinting on the water's surface.
The time has come, to move on. Our hard work has paid off -Koy and I are finally becoming homeowners. While our new home is surrounded by nature and tranquility- there is no brook, there are no birdsongs. There are few trees- just a lovley golden meadow leading out to woods in the distance.
I am happy to move on, our family needs more room to roam. But this place will be missed. I hope that wherever we go Empress will still be able to chase fireflies in the moonlight- naming each one as she sets it free, "Goodnight Bella!"
